×Maniumpathy
Maniumpathy is a stately house, which has been home to five generations of a family originating in Jaffna. During its history spanning over a century, it has evolved at the hands of the different members of the family who have lived there. The most recent owners have renovated it and transformed it into a boutique hotel, with the intention of immersing guests in an atmosphere reminiscent of the moods and pursuits of the people who have lived within its walls.
Centrally located in the heart of Colombo and surrounded by art galleries, chic boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and national monuments, Maniumpathy is the ideal base from which to explore the city.
Clingendael
Located 30 minutes east of the ancient hill capital Kandy, Clingendael is a luxury boutique hotel with spectacular views of the beautiful surrounding areas. The hotel is an excellent example Sri Lankan architecture of stately homes which were built over the last three hundred years and allow guests to experience the bygone days of glorious colonial splendour and luxury.
Thotalagala
Thotalagala is steeped in history. It is located on Pitaratmalie Estate which is part of Agarapatana Plantations, a collection of estates that totals almost 8000 hectares of the finest high-grown tea that Sri Lanka produces. Adjoining the estate is Dambatenne, possibly the most famous estate in all of Sri Lanka. Dambatenne is one of the only estates in the world that Sir Thomas Lipton planted himself. The term “Ceylon Tea” was coined here, and Lipton’s Tea was founded and sold its first pound of tea from the precincts of the factory which still stands today. Guests of Thotalagala will be granted exclusive access to the factory and the bungalow which was Sir Thomas Lipton’s residence from 1890 to 1910.
Chena Huts

The property is fringed on one side by a tropical jungle and on the other by a saline lake which is teeming with birdlife. Its location offers guests the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka’s largest and oldest national park, Yala which boasts the highest leopard population density in the world.
Occupying seven acres of land there are only 14 "huts" which are detached, private pavilions affording views of the surrounding wilderness and seascape. Each offers generous indoor and outdoor space including an open plan living and bedroom area with ensuite bathroom and a shaded outdoor deck with small plunge pool. The interiors gently emphasize the ‘safari’ theme, with log furniture, African-style and rustic motifs.
