Known as the Grand Dame of Mauritius, Le Saint Geran was the first luxury hotel built in Mauritius and consequently had the pick of location on the island. The hotel is situated on the Belle Mare Peninsula, which provides the hotel with a beautiful sweeping cove and a lagoon. Food is a big part of your stay at One&Only Le Saint Geran, there are so many different dining experiences to be enjoyed, whether this is a morning visit to the on-site bakery, a Steakhouse experience at PRIME, a tapas-style Oriental feast at Tapasake or buffet at Le Terrasse. Wherever you choose to eat, the food is excellent. My favourite experience at One&Only Le Saint Geran was a hot stone massage, which lasted about an hour and I felt so relaxed afterwards.

This is one of my absolute favourite hotels. After enjoying a relaxing pampering session at the fabulous Spa, I was all set up and ready for cocktails, followed by dinner at the steakhouse restaurant, Prime, which has a New York feel to it - you can only imagine how good the steak was! This is the only hotel I know that has its very own air-conditioned artisan cafe dedicated to just desserts with every ice cream and cake you can think of.

One&Only Le St Geran is a fabulous property for both couples and families. I love that all rooms offer a sea view and are absolutely beautifully decorated. As a family, my children enjoyed the excellent kids club and watersports which meant that we could relax on one of the beaches with a refreshing drink in hand! It goes without saying that Le St Geran offers first-class service.

I was very lucky to stay at the One & Only Le Saint Géran for a night, and it did not disappoint. This is a very special hotel, offering both sunset and sunrise views from various points across its vast grounds.

A highlight for me was the incredible meal at the Tapasake Restaurant, where the attentive staff recommended the most delicious food and drinks. Whether you’re traveling as a young family, honeymooners, or a couple, this hotel provides an unforgettable experience.

The resort offers an impressive range of water sports, from paddleboarding to water skiing, ensuring there’s always something exciting to experience.

The service is truly exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to make every moment special. A standout highlight of my stay was dining at Tapasake, the resort’s Asian fusion restaurant. Unsure of what to order, I relied on the waiter’s expert recommendations—and they were absolutely perfect.
