Trou Aux Biches is a fabulous family resort and where my children learnt to water ski. The accommodation caters to families of all shapes and sizes, especially in the villas. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Family Suite that was more than spacious for our family of 5. It's one of the largest resorts in Mauritius so there are plenty of dining choices and activities to keep the whole family occupied.

Another favourite of mine as I hit the jackpot and was given one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in! A beachfront suite with my very own pool overlooking the beach with a view of the Ocean - WOW - it was so impressive! That evening we enjoyed cocktails at the bar.... and then experienced the lobster & steak BBQ on the beach with our feet in the sand being entertained by fire eaters in the water - certainly a night to remember!

I stayed in one of the villas at Trou aux Biches and loved the freedom this offered. The villas are located close to the tennis courts and have their own small pool. They are spacious and beautifully furnished. The resort is well spread out and the beach at Trou aux Biches is quite narrow but gorgeous.

I was lucky enough to stay in a suite with my own private pool, overlooking the beach. What a treat it was to wake up in the morning. It was here that I had the choice of using my luxurious indoor bathroom or, daring to be brave and sample my outdoor shower which was in complete privacy and utterly liberating! My food highlight is undoubtedly dining at the Mahiya Restaurant where we were transported to another era at the heart of an Indian palace. We were given a bindi to wear, indulged in the most divine cuisine and listened to the authentic sound of the cithara. Heavenly!

Trou Aux Biches is a beautiful and contemporary resort with so much to offer for both couples and families. There are many accommodation options to choose from, all very spacious and some even with private pools. I'd recommend a visit to the dive school during your stay, Francois and the team are so patient and friendly, their passion really shines through! The highlight of the stay for me was dinner at the Indian Restaurant, Mahiya. The food was incredible, the sound of the cithara created a wonderful ambiance and if you visit, you must try the delicious Cheese naan!
