You’ve just returned from your first holiday with us staying at the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel in Cyprus. How was your experience, and what made it special?
We’re thrilled to share our experience. As a family of six, we were looking for a holiday that catered to everyone’s needs, and Athena Beach delivered beyond our expectations. The kids were wide-eyed with excitement from the moment we arrived, and we felt instantly relaxed. The hotel’s family-friendly vibe and amazing service made every moment enjoyable. We could see the kids having a blast with all the activities, and we even managed to get some time to unwind. Prestbury Travel’s attention to every detail made it feel effortless.
What was the first thing you all wanted to do when you arrived at the hotel?
The kids immediately wanted to explore the pools! They were fascinated with the water slides and couldn’t wait to jump in. It was the perfect start to the holiday—seeing their excitement just made us all feel like the fun had officially begun.
You stayed in an executive suite. How did this work for a family of 6?
The executive suite was a game-changer. With four kids, space is everything, and this suite gave us plenty of room for everyone. We had three connecting rooms, each with a spacious bathroom. The balconies were huge, and the kids loved having a large area to play while we could take in the beautiful views. The setup made it so easy for the kids to play freely without feeling cramped.
How important was it for you to balance fun for the kids with relaxation for yourselves?
Very important. A family holiday isn’t always relaxing, but this one was. With all the activities for the kids and the relaxing amenities for us, we were able to balance both. Prestbury Travel helped us find a place where everyone could have their ideal holiday, and it was exactly what we needed.
Was there a moment when you thought, ‘This is exactly why we needed this holiday’?
On our second day, we were all lounging by the pool, completely in the moment, without a single thing to worry about. Seeing the kids so happy and just being able to soak it all in—that’s when we knew this trip was exactly what we’d needed as a family.
If you could bottle up one moment from your holiday and keep it forever, what would it be?
We’d bottle up an evening spent on the beach, watching the kids explore the sand and sea as the sun set. Those quiet moments were a beautiful break from the usual busyness, creating a memory we’ll always cherish.
Did you all go on the waterslides or leave that to the kids?
We definitely joined in! The kids convinced us to go on the slides with them, and we’re glad they did—it ended up being one of the most fun parts of the holiday! There were lots of giggles and some hilarious photos to remember it by.
Tell us about the Athena Beach Kids Club and what they loved.
The Kids Club was a hit! Each day had a different theme, which kept the kids excited to go back. They made friends, played games, and even did crafts. It gave us a chance to relax knowing they were in safe hands and having a blast.
What were the hotel’s key highlights?
There were so many! The Elite Club Services were wonderful, the variation of entertainment, the themed dining nights were a fun way to try new dishes as a family. We loved being close to Paphos, too—it made day trips easy and gave us a chance to explore the local culture.
What was your overall experience with Prestbury Travel?
